I my name is Cindi, I am 25 years old, married with 5 kids. Our youngest daughter is 5 months old, she was born at a very healthy 8lbs 5oz, no complications, however from day one she has been an extremly fussy baby..especially when it comes to feeding time. She is classified now as Failure to Thrive, which breaks my heart. She is 11lbs 14oz after losing half a pound..again..sigh.. At first they thought it was AR, she was given Zantak with no improvement. I was then told to stop BFomg which i really didnt want but decided to do for her anyway...still no improvment..she is on Alimentum Formula and it is a struggle to feed her 50% of the time..she will start out all hungry and then 1 ounce in she starts screaming like i have broken her leg..on a good day she eats 25 ounces on bad ones maybe 10 ounces..The Dr.s are going to be doing a Sweat Test on her for CF, which i am unsure of why since she doesnt have any of the symptoms for CF besides Failure to thrive?? They are also going to be doing an Upper GI on her as well, although i dont think she has GERD either since she doesnt spit up nor is Failure to Thrive a symptom of GERD...so I guess my question for you all is when your LO's were diagnosed with CF what where there symptoms...Also what is involved with this Sweat Test??
Thanks Cindi and MaKenna
