Turmeric/Curcumin

I had come across this, just the other day--in some old papers I had printed out a while ago when this first came out. I remember wondering how many of you were using this, and what effects you had noticed. I am very interested in it, but of course, we don't know the dosage for a child...

I am also interested for myself, as I have been starting to have joint pain, which is probably a combo of my age and my job! How did you arrive at the dosage?

Faust, this was the kind of point I was trying to make in your last thread. Natural ways to improve health, rather than using somewhat dangerous methods to induce healing for the body.
I'll have to see if the wife has added curcumin extracts from my long list of supplements, but she does have a supplement for my joint aches in my knees.

Turmeric is a major ingredient for Curry, as a matter of fact. I also believe it was Turmeric, not Taurin, that was a benefit for digestion, but I'd have to see if I could find that link I saw way back when I came upon it.

Thanks for this post, Faust. It is always interesting to read about your supplements.

Last time I looked, the CFF was still doing trials on curcumin, just at a higher dose, since the low dose was not effective.

Include turmeric in your cooking! We could start a thread of recipes that use it. I will contribute "Gypsy Soup"
