I know I haven't posted on here in a while but I have talked to Julie and wanted to give her and everyone on her on update on me and my wife's IVF procedure. We nervously went in yesterday for her procedure at 8:00 am and we were fortunate she had 11 eggs and everything went well. Up next was my procedure to find out if I did indeed produce sprem or not. I have to say this was one of the most nervouse procedures I have ever been through. After about 30 minutes they sent one vial to lab and came back negative no sperm my heart dropped then they removed another vial after looking elsewhere and I couldn't believe it I had sperm!!! I was estatic to say the least. When I was growing up I was always believed I would never be able to have my own child now I know there is still allot of the process left but this was by far one of the most exciting moments in my life. They called this morning to say 10 out of the 11 eggs were mature and 4 had already showed fertilization, they are leaving the other 6 in the incubator as sometimes they don't show fertilizaton for 24 hours and it hadnt been quite that long yet. We are set to go in for the transfer Saturday or Monday so please keep us in your prayers. waiting on the pregnacy test is going to be one of the longest waits in my life. I am extremely sore to say the least from the procedure as is my wife but it will all be worth it in the end. I can't explain how anxious, nervous and excited we are all in one. They said my sperm was extremely mobile and looked great. I just can't believe it becuase of science and doctors we have a fighting chance unbelievable.
