Rebecca - Won't the pharamacy that's an hour away ship it to you? We get our HS from the pharmacy that's inside Children's Hospital. It's compounded there for us. It is shipped to us each month, like clockwork. It's worth call to see if they can...save yourself the drive!

Good luck!

Try the CF Pharmacy in Florida (aka Freedom Pharmacy). I live in Cali so they ship overnight. It cost me $35 for a month supply of 7% and it comes in a premixed syringe and all I do is unscrew the cap and squirt the whole thing into the neb cup. The thing w/ compounded meds is that you have to keep them frozen or refrigerated. I keep mine in the freezer and take out a few at a time to put in the fridge. The paper I got w/ the HS said they are sterile for 45 days in the freezer and 15 days in the fridge.

my 7% hypertonic saline says nothing on the box about being in the fridge. i'm going to check again when i get home. i know when the pharmacy shipped it, it wasn't in an insulated box and normally when they ship things that have to be refridgerated they ship it in something insulated with some chill packs.

I heard that right now Foundation Care isn't sending out HS if that's all you order from them. They are only catering to their "high volume" customers who order other meds that are used with the eFlow. This has raised questions of legality if not at least morality. , At this point, my nurse practitioner practitioner is looking into why they are withholding products from a select group. I hope it's resolved soon.</end quote></div>

I first received my 7% premixed vial of HS from Foundation care back in April of 2006. They have always been excellent with service. They charged me $36 dollars a month with free shipping for 60 vials. Recently, this past April, I started Tobramycin via the eflow acquired through them and I now receive free the HS vials and ABDEK sourceCF vitamins. They are always on time with shipments and ready to answer any questions I might have.

Sorry to hear, if it is true, that they are not catering to all who desire to receive the HS only. I too hope this issue is resolved soon as having it premixed and safely prepared is vital and convenient.
