weightlifting, stressing....

Urgh!

So I've been weightlifting heavier weights lately at the gym.. pushing myself a bit harder. I've also been keeping up with my jogging every other day.

I've noticed lately I've been a bit more sob than usual, but I attribute that to the dust and wind storms here in southern nevada desert and quite possibly to my increased stress level. I'm very very stressed lately cause we're schedule for a military move in about 2-3 months and yet have NO idea where or when this will be. I'm having anxiety about this nearly every hour of every day. Just thinking about it makes me tight in my chest.

Aside from that, two weeks ago, I coughed up bright red blood. Just blood. I've had the "old blood" streaked in my sputum before, but not nothing BUT blood. I coughed it up about 5-6 coughs (all pretty small amounts - maybe a teaspoon?) in the morning. I then proceeded to TRY not to freak out (my first bleed) and tried to suppress my cough, not do h.s. or pulmo, etc. for a day or so. Bleed stopped after those first several coughs and I was fine for the rest of the day.

Fast forward to a couple mornings ago: I was just sitting on the couch minding my own business and coughed up blood (bright red) again! Again, freaking out a bit since this was twice in two weeks. After coughing up small amounts of bright red mixed with sputum for about an hour or so, it went away on its own.

I've been feeling pretty good aside from my sob (again thinking asthma and inflammation). I'm exercising, eating, sleeping, and if anything coughing a lot less than usual.

I spoke with my nurse who said its "pretty common" but to watch it. I also mentioned to her I've been increasing my weights quite a bit at the gym and straining with "huff" breaths as the weights get heavier. I was curious if that could cause the bleeding and she said it was a possibility.

Just curious if anyone else thinks this could be the culprit? Also, could the severe stress have anything to do with bleeds?

And, finally (sorry this got so long), I'm feeling just a slight "tinge" of dull achy pain in my upper lobes today/tonight (2 days after my second bleed)... Not sure if this is just cause I had a bleed and so expecting to be in pain or maybe I'm just panicking... either way, it stinks. Anyone else feel a dull pain after a bleed? Two days later? What does it mean?

Thanks!!!

i don't think it is unusual at all to feel tight after a bleed....I kind of describe it like I am wearing a weighted vest. That is the feeling I get. People can experience bleeds from different things....lifting heavy stuff can be a culprit. I usually drink lots of fluids and lay off of some of the more harsh nebs and the vest for a bit. DON'T do that without permission though

i haven't experienced a bleed in awhile, until a couple weeks ago. bright red, right after finishing my nebs. i think it must've been because it the humidity was very low in my house. i don't know if it came from my lungs or throat, or something, but after i drink some milk, my sputum has less blood in it, so i'm not too sure?

anyways i lift weights about 3 times a week. haven't bled because of that as far as i know. what makes me bleed is normally tobramycin or harsh medicines on my lungs.

maybe if you bleed once, your more prone to bleeding again? not too sure.

but yes it's freaky as hell to cough up blood. it just seems so wrong lol.
