My husband gets annual endoscopies right now, but he has portal hypertension and has esphogial bleeding associated with that. After the first bleed they did them more regularly, like 2-3 times a year, and now they usually check him out once a year. He sees the liver doc for that.
My husband is also supposed to see the liver folks once a year to get everything checked out, but he has more severe liver issues than a lot of people on these boards.
My husband also meets with the dietician during every clinic appointment (every 3 months) and goes over his diet, etc.
He also have CFRD so they run labs to check on how his blood sugar levels have been.
