I have two tattoos. A really small one on my wrist and a bigger one on my back. Got them when I was 18. I don't regret them but wish I would have waited. You're still young. I would wait a little bit. Know who the tattoo artist is and make sure they use sterilized equipment. Common Sense really.
I would feel absolutely terrible if I abandoned this thread :( I apologize to the members that have unanswered questions! I'll answer them now. Better late than never.
First of all, Pamelajet- How is your grandson? Is he currently waiting for a transplant?? Thinking of you! *hugs*

I moved out with my boyfriend (now husband) about a year and a half after we started dating. I was 20. I didn't find it hard at all because I was already doing everything on my own. I live about 40 minutes away from my family now. My parents taught me growing up how important it was to learn...
I haven't been in school for a while but when I was I got pamphlets for teachers from the CF clinic that summed up what CF was. Like important info about Picc lines and ports, needing to go to the nurses offices for enzymes, possible frequent bathroom breaks, how you should NOT not let a CF...
I can't really add anything that everyone else hasn't said but I just wanted to let you know that even though my husband doesn't have CF I've been in this situation before. He's only 27. Most of the time it's a huge stress factor because of his job. Hopefully you will figure out the issue soon...
Save those empty medicine bottles!!
We usually just trash our pill bottles when we finish the medicine inside. Malawi Project Inc. has a certain project called "Medicine Bottles for Malawi" The pharmacies & hospitals in Malawi normally don't have anything to wrap medicine in except for torn...
I have a CF friend who just had her baby through IUI. Not sure of the details. I'm sure she would be happy to answer questions if you would like her info.
Alfie- Best of luck to you!!
I'm not a parent but I'll tell you she ate so much of it she got tired of it. Happened to me all the time. Unless you mean she ate it once? That's weird. She had a weird liking for it that day!
Does she like peanut butter? It's full of calories! You don't have to do the usual PB&J. Maybe just a...

I did homeschooling all of high school, I did a combination of bookwork and online courses. LOTS of reading! You would have to ask who you are taking the classes through about those specific classes. Some classes I wanted to take were not available to take on the computer through my school...
Hi Everyone,
My mom posted in the newly diagnosed forum about a year ago. I'm posting what she originally posted (plus an update) in hopes of a few more responses. She has had two sweat tests done. The first result was 58 and the second one was 78 confirming a CF diagnoses. We already know one...
May I ask why you are asking? Hopefully if you have CF you are taking your enzymes. Really don't wanna find out for yourself. It's torturous. Farting that clears a room, doubled over bloating, in the bathroom for an hour. Sometimes symptoms last 24 or more hours. You may think you're fine the...
Hopefully you're feeling at least a little better by now. That's pretty amazing that you haven't had any IV's until this point in your life! Mother to 2 boys! I hope to have kids one day. I'm still young enough :) Try not to think too much about the possibility of a downfall. Thinking too much...
Sorry for such a late reply but if anyone else needs more info about a Lung and kidney transplant let me know. My kidneys were already damaged BEFORE transplant from IV Amakacin. They knew I would eventually need a kidney transplant but didn't realize how soon my kidney function would rapidly...
This is fantastic news! Congrats! I'm just past 8 years post. I haven't heard from my donor family but I continue to write them as long as they accept my letters. My Lungs have been in stable condition for several years now. Still dealing with stomach issues and CFRD but those are small problems...
