oops! it actually may have been two years, but i could have been thinking a year because how on Earth i got by for two years with CF and NO health insurance seems crazy now! LOL

i didn't know you can get SSI and SSDI at the same time ... i was on SSI for several years, then when i earned enuff work credits it kicked me into SSDI. also, i had to wait a year after beginning to receive SSDI to be eligible for Medicare.
