I'm in that grey area of needing to be listed: Hospitalizations 3-5x/year, FEV1 25-30%, very limited in activities some weeks/months, do okay others. Oxygen with exercise and sleep. I continually adapt and get used to most of the limitations but I sometimes feel I'm in denial about how I've...

Thank you for your responses and ideas. I'm going to have to try lotion on the hands. Seems foreign to me as my hands are always sweaty and moist so I wouldn't all them "dry" but if it's worked for you . . . I'll try airing my feet out more too...
Julie,
You are definitely in our thoughts/prayers.
Regarding the ball not rolling for financial reasons . . . if you're contemplating a move out of state, why not move to one of the states that mandates insurance to coverage IVF? I know a move is a big deal, but so are the costs associated...
I've got to jump on the bandwagon and fully agree with everyone here. I've have my port for 4 years -- best medical decision I ever made. SO much easier and less painful than picc lines. Mine is in my upper chest and can't be seen with clothing but obvious as can be with my shirt off. I'd do...
I have a warning for all y'all with abdominal pain. When I was in school I had the same pains you describe. I was constipated often. Often enough that when my appendix ruptured they thought the pain I was is was from constipation. Eat fiber and try to go to the bathroom harder they'd say...

Anonymous is right!! Had Josh stayed there, the knife would have most likely been taken from him by the black...
and if you don't have a lot of hydrogen peroxide or alcohol around (beer doesn't count -- needs to be 70) bleech is very economical as the cf foundation recommends 1 part bleech to 50 parts water. Someone's always got that on hand.

I've wondered the same thing. My guess is that if you have lung infections...
If your VCR wasn't working when you tried to record it, maybe the tape they sent you was fine but your VCR isn't? I imagine you tested your VCR on another tape?
Hi Julie,
In response to the scam you saw on Dateline -- network TV has done a great job of pumping fear into viewers. If I acted on every one of those specials, I couldn't give my social security # to ANYONE (even employers), couldn't have a drink at a bar, couldn't let my car out of my...
I notice a lot of replies appear to be from females. Is this an isolated problem or are some of the above posters male? Any males get bloating? (I don't).
Julie,
I can't speak to the financial aid situation but for a car . . . . I know it's depressing to have a $7k budget looking at new car prices. But I have never paid more than $5k for a car and I've had great cars running into the 100's of thousands of miles. I'm certain you can...
Wow, Jarod. If your words are those of a Christian I might have a misunderstanding of Christianity. Try practicing what you preach (listening vs. reacting, non-judgementalness, acceptance).

What are the other two?!

Okay, my question is, has anyone switched enzymes lately, and what was the change in their doses? I was taking 8 MT16, and my doc switched me to 8 of the new ones, and nobody seems to be sure how to adjust...
I just read in another post your son's 12. 7th grade-ish? Tough, independent age. My first suggestion is to post your question to the teens board, I'm sure they'd have the best ideas.
I challenged my meds not only in adolescence but in adulthood. It's natural, who wants to spend hours...
this is similar to what Holly mentioned -- taken from pregnancy in CF
