It is similiar to Extreme Makeover; home edition. There are five different gay men who each focus on one aspect of improving the "straight" man. I think it's fashion, culture, cooking, design, and I can't remember the last one. The guy gets a makeover, new clothes, he is taught how to cook...
Same here, I tried the south beach diet and I thought I was going to die. I don't have CF and can only imagine how it would affect you. I strongly recommend you don't cut carbs. Talk to your CF nutritionist about what diet will work for you. Good Luck!
My son was diagnosed at 18months and so I don't know much about meconium ilieus or what it's like to know your child has CF before he/she is born. However, you said you are your child's advocate and that is vital. Nobody is going to love or care for your child as much as you and your husband...
Yea, go back and look at the post "my life has gone to s***! from a few weeks ago. The post was signed by Jenna and several posts down Jennaxox verified that she wrote it. I am so angry, I was very upset by her post and truly felt sorry for this girl. She had given up and was tired of...
I'm such a dork, seriously. I am 28 and addicted to any Super Mario game. I just beat Super Mario Sunshine three days ago and have now moved on to Paper Mario. Tetris will always be the bane of my existance.
What happens to you when you have a panic attack? I've never been diagnosed with them but ever since my son was diagnosed with CF I get them more often. I have a horrible fear of heights! I went to Honduras in college and at the end of long hike we went cliffdiving. You had to run and jump...
I worked as an art teacher at a local preschool, the pay sucked but I could bring my son for free. I went to pick him up from his classroom at the end of the day and she started talking about CF and her "superior knowledge" of it. She blurted out, in front of my son who was four at the time...
Wow, you guys have really done your homework. I had no idea getting a transplant was so difficult (beyond the obvious shortage of good organ donors) and required crossing so much red tape. Friends and family are always telling me "Oh, Harrison (my son) can always get a transplant if things get...
I had pleuresy in my right lung and it hurt like hell! I don't have CF and so I can only imagine how painful it would be to have to do treatments on top of that. The only thing my doctor did was give me vicodin which my breathing even more shallow.
to IntheIMAGEofhim, don't apologize for for "venting". Getting your feelings out is one of the best things about this forum. I applaude you for being able to admit you sometimes feel jealous of your healthy friends. Owning up to your fear is empowering and an important step in dealing with...
I'm your sister is struggling so much. It must be hard for you to watch and pretty scary. You are not alone and were all here to support you and to "let yourself vent". Crying is much easier to do when people are not watching, you must get your get feelings out and we will listen and not...
I would definitly send your daughter to go have fun. My son is 5 and goes to waterparks all the time and we have a swimming pool. It has done wonders for his health and self-confidence. He wants to swim 24 hours a day! He just learned to go down our big slide and swim to the shallow end of...
we save money by buying the store brand. My son can't tell the difference, for all I know it may taste nasty. Buying in bulk like at a warehouse ,sam's, costco, etc.. helps. I don't know what I'd do without Boost, it has been a lifesaver!!!
