Will my insurance pay for Cayston?

When I took it previously as part of the drug study, I had no side effects and it was much more tolerable than TOBI. It eliminated my PA for over a year. I will also tell you that my experience once the paper work has been filled out is a 9 day wait to go through the insurance, get the...

Will my insurance pay for Cayston?

My insurance covered 80% and for the remaining approximately $1000 a patient assistance program covered that I believe was through Cayston also (other than the $25). I hope this continues into the future, because otherwise I will not be able to afford it.

    Sputum cultures

I'm not sure I have the answer, but I do know that when one bacteria goes away, another may flare up. For example, we have been treating my staph (which was MRSA and now they call a small variant strand of staph) with Septra DS for about 2 years and not my PA. Now, with my FEV1 down we are...

Will my insurance pay for Cayston?

They are contacting my insurance for me. Usually, specialty prescrips leave me with at most a $40 copay. Apparently, Cayston may fall out of their covered meds (for whatever reason) and then they could charge me 20%.

Will my insurance pay for Cayston?

So today I went in and my FEV1 had dropped 17%. I knew I had been coughing more the last two weeks, but I didn't think it had dropped this significantly. Anyway, my staph count was very low and so it appears to be my PA that's taking over. So, since I can't handle TOBI and I did well on...

    heart rate

Mine is always up over 100. I figured that it had to work harder just because of the CF.
