what can help me conceive?

You know... I can't say that there was any reason for Kylie to use the "F word" in her last post... but I have to wonder... how come when stuff like that pops up, the moderators jump on it.. and when there's ads for beastiality porn, it takes them days to delete it??

    Strange smell of sweat?

It may depend on what she eats... I tend to have particularly gross smelling sweat, because I eat a lot of onions, and garlic. Both of those, because they taste and smell strong, can easily come out in sweat.

    good and bad barriers

Just a little PS to Dave... I plan on getting married and having kids (assuming my husband is not a carrier... and even if he is, we will have kids some how -- adoption, perhaps).. and I've been in the hospital on and off for tune ups since I was 16 (also pretty late). You weren't diagnosed...

    what can help me conceive?

I'd just like to say... unless I'm knocking on death's door, I want to have kids. And I thoroughly plan to. Lots of children lose their parents... and with something like CF, you can be in okay health one minute, and dying the next, so it's not really reasonable to think about how long the child...

    The Vest

Piper, my hospital is very good about it when I stay. They ask me what I use at home, I tell them just hands beating on my back, so they send in a respiratory therapist 3 times a day to do it for me, no questions asked.

    psueudomonas and swimming pools

My parents never took any unnecessary precuations (we avoided smoke pretty much... but if we wanted to go out into public, and there were sick people there.. we went anyway... sick people tend to hang out in public). It's actually good to expose the kid to some regular colds and stuff, he needs...

    Wisdom from parents please!

Pseudomonas is a type of infection that CFers get in their lungs. It's actually in the air all the time, and just doesn't affect healthy people. There are a lot of different strains of it, and once a CFer gets it, it's permanent. You can make it somewhat dormant with meds when needed, but it...

    The Vest

Well if I feel I really need it, I can go to the Health Center at school... and I have a friend who's a bio major who understands the CF... but really I get most of it done by going to the gym and working out the best I can. It gets me coughing, and does the job on its own. <img...

    The Vest

Lots of people like the Vest... but also, lots don't. Pretty much.. you either love it or hate it. I hated it. I'm sure it does wonders for some people, but make sure you really want to try it before you go through the hassle of having one sent all the way over to Europe.

Comments on Real World cast memeber.

Just as an added note... my mom quit smoking shortly after I was born. And I missed Frankie's mom smoking around her, but that is really irresponsible.

Your opinion on the term "cystic" or"Cysti" is it offensive to you?

RE:Your opinion on the term "cystic" or"Cysti" is it offensive to you? I don't understand the question. You mean if people call us CFers, or something? Because I don't find that offensive at all. But I'm really a very open person, and I never hide it, so I'm different than some others. <img...

    Starting the xplant process, questions!

I still hate the idea of the mask. I'm not afraid of how I'm going to look, I just hate those damn things... but reading your last post on masks made it sound a little better. One of my favorite things to do with rude people who ask is freak them out! I am always happy to answer...

    Starting the xplant process, questions!

Sorry to be blunt, I just can't understand this. The options are very limited when you get to a certain point... a transplant or you die.Prior to transplant my physiotherapy regime took up 3 hours of my time and for the rest of the time I either napped because I couldn't get a...

    Starting the xplant process, questions!

Thanks for being honest, and may I say, so detailed in answering my questions. It really helped. It still doesn't look like it's worth it... but I imagine you're right and that it's because I still have quality of life now. Maybe it'll look worth it when I can't do anything for myself anymore...

    Starting the xplant process, questions!

And another little question I just thought of.. this may sound ridiculous, but I wonder with this need to be extra clean going on. What about having sex? Do you have to avoid that for any period of time (other than whatever you need to heal and get strength back)? Or do you have to take new...

    Starting the xplant process, questions!

Okay.. I never really paid attention to tx stuff before. And, well, this thread freaked me out. Forever after do you have to beware of anyone with a cold? Or just for some period of time after? Because in case anyone was unaware, it is impossible to work and have any kind of a life and avoid...
