I just wanted to thank Claudette...as a mom to a child under six who has used both TOBI and Pulmozyme. I'm sure that Sean's participation in the studies helped pave the way</end quote></div>
I totally agree -...
I have the same reservations about Katy being in studies. Right now she is too young, as far as I can tell. If I were the CF patient, I think I would go for it (if I could, you know, considering work and other obligations).
I know that our CF doc participates in many, many studies - I'm...

Yes, Tina, as hard as it is to believe it does get better. In my personal experience (our daughter was diagnosed 5 months ago) the feeling hasn't gone completely away but you learn how to integrate it into your life.
If your son is diagnosed with CF there will probably be lots of meds and...

Geez we were on Cipro for 3 months, I think, when Katy cultured PA. We had just been diagnosed and it was her first culture, so I don't know. Maybe our doc is really agressive??

The boards are so serious lately (rightfully so) but I have to say this:
you can take the humble artichoke heart (canned, NOT the marinated in oil kind), chop it up and load it up with freshly grated parmesan cheese, mayonaise, garlic powder and maybe a little dill weed, I'll have to look for...

This is heartbreaking because I know you want to keep your daughter (and you) positive about the clinic experience. I know you don't want her to associate the treatment room with a blood stick but that may be your only option.
Our daughter always asks if it is going to be the "tickle doctor"...

Steve -
Thank you SO MUCH for the information and especially the very detailed response to our Question #2 - regarding having my dad tested for the 508 mutation. I had to shake my head, as your response is exactly what we've been trying to get people in our family to understand, but to no...
Our daughter has caught two viruses - one over the winter break and one over the MLK break which was extended by bad weather and roads. Both times she had not seen a sole but us, and had not been anywhere, for days and days. Her normal schedule is full-day preschool and after-school care (on...
