Does anyone use these with a port? Last time I had to use gravity bags because the pharmacy told me that with a port it had to be gravity bags. Now I am starting to doubt them.

Debbi, your eclipse ball looks exactly the same as my Easypump from Braun does.

Rose, you can use them with a port. I had them before i had my port and had regular venflons at home. When i had my port nothing changed. I had the same meds/same pumps. It might be that it will take a little longer. I have the feeling that with my regular iv's it took about 30 minutes and with my port it took a little longer. But still it can be done!

I have a port and have not had a problem. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> I actually have more trouble with the gravity bags with my port because I have to put the pole up so dang high in order to get the math right for it to flow. (Don't ask me for the h1 and h2 equations. I'm too tired...lol)

Here's a handy little tip for the eclipse balls. If you have a picc or port and want to relax in the tub while it infuses, take a face mask and loop it over the shower head. It will work like a little sling and the ball fits perfectly in it! That way it's high enough that the tubing doesn't drag in the tub, and you can have a somewhat normal, restful, relaxing tub experience!
