Should I continue to work?????

I battled with this too until I asked myself 'can I still continue in this job for another 5 or 10 years?'. My answer was no, and I decided to make the break, spend a few months to get my health better again and then to start looking for a different field which offers flexible hours and less contact with sick people (I was a school teacher). If you don't HAVE to work for financial reasons its a perfect opportunity. You don't have to just pursue hobbies the whole day, you can start a whole new career that will be easier on you and you will enjoy it again, maybe doing something from home/close to home 3 days a week, or something that uses the internet so you don't actually have to be in an office. Something that you can fit around your needs not the other way around. It sounds like getting that assistant will be good for both of you, actually. All the best of luck

I'm just going to say, I know how you feel. I'm still living at home but I've always worked (& have CF). I'm really good at getting jobs but something health-wise usually pops up and the job never seems to last. I've been really trying to figure out what kind of job/career I can have that will accommodate my CF. That's the tough part.
I agree with the stir-crazy issue. I have never envisioned myself as a house-wife (no offense to anyone that is), it's just not something I find desirable (plus I'm even sure I want to have children, so there's that). But over the past couple years, that's kind of what I've become. I take care of my families home and do most of the things a 'house-wife' would do. It's annoying and boring at times, so I've been trying to come up with hobbies. But luckily, I have 2 dogs that I LOVE. I guess their kinda my babies and they help me alot.
So I guess I've not helped to much here, but just wanted to let you know, someone else feels the way you do <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">
good luck <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">
