Every day I am grateful for the experiences of the people on this site, but today I need to give you one example of why.
I wrote about Josh's recent symptoms and that we can't quite figure them out. After reading Nicole's thread about candida overgrowth I mentioned it to my family, then to our doc. She took a blood sample, but reluctantly. My family is always skeptical of the information I get on this site, so they didn't pay much attention either.
WELL- Josh's Beta D glucan test came back. A reading higher than 80 is considered high. <b>Josh's was 500</b>!
I can't tell you how relieved I am now that we have a lead. After reading more, it seems that many other of Josh's symptoms could be attributed to this. In fact this list of candida overgrowth symptoms could be about Josh:
The person experiences extreme fatigue all the the time and feels more tired after meals. This is accompanied by dizziness, headaches and sometimes migraines. The person becomes easily irritable and experiences frequent mood swings and concentration is affected. Dizziness, confusion while learning, drowsiness, depression, hormonal imbalances and lowered immunity are the discernible candida overgrowth symptoms.
