    PINK vest

Is there anyone who doesn't like the new vest? Emily (age 5...and yes, that probably is part of the problem) HATES her "pinky" and will not wear it. She can't tolerate the feeling of the fabric and when she does wear it she cries and says she can't breathe. I am trying to understand what she...

Looking for questions to ask and for friends

Hi! Welcome to the site, and to the CFmomma club. None of us wants to be here, but here we are, and we're a pretty good group to be around! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> Congratulations on your dear little Parker. As others have said, be sure to cherish this...

How long does your child do the vest?

Emily is 5 and follows the "Minnesota protocol" as perscribed by our clinic RT. We started out (when she was tiny) at 20 min 2x/day, and even then there was some variation in the pressure/HZ settings. We've changed it up over the years (WOW, it really is years), and occassionaly had to adjust...

G-tube and potty training at night

My Emily is the same way and Harriet's Em and Alyssa. She never has accidents despite being hooked up over night, and, she never has to go first thing in the morning. Yes, there are times when she'll be almost done with her vest in the morning and will have to go. And, yes, I have to go in a...

Creon smell? Was there a recall or is this way they always smell?

Emily recently switched to Creon. I haven't been aware of a smell, but, reading this I realized that I've never stuck my nose in the bottle. So, I did. There is a slight chemical smell, but it's not bad, and not noticeable unless you really sniff. This, of course, led me to sniff several...

HELP! Public school is trying to force us to have my son skip a grade.

Good news! Now, get your son's 504 plan ammended to include the services they are "offering" to provide based on the testing. It seems to me that this a battle you could fight every year if it's not in writing. Actually, I think he should have a full IEP for academics now that he qualifies...
