I would always err on the side of caution just to be safe -- call the CF doc and let them know what is going on, your concerns, etc.
As far as Cipro causing fevers, I guess it could, esp if it is notated as one of the side effects. Personally it has never caused a fever for me, and has actually...

Interesting. I haven't had a chest xray since diagnosis (about 6 years). I asked my doctor if I needed to get one a few years ago, and she said they will only do it if they suspect something is wrong since I will likely be exposed to a lot of radiation the rest of my life. I am at an accredited...

I have no idea; I would call customer support -- every time I have reached out to them they have been very helpful. To be honest I never look at the time on mine (I did when I first got it though; it made me depressed at how many hours I spend doing that stupid thing ) <img...

I have G542X (which I believe is a no-nonsense/supposedly worse class mutation) and R117H, which is supposedly not as severe. I had a link to the different classes of mutations that someone posted on here a while ago, but can't seem to find it.

my doc told me to use albuterol/xopenex before using Cayston. I do it after xopenex/hypersal/pulmozyme in the morning & evening. my doc gave me an albuterol inhaler to use before Cayston for my mid-day dose, which I did during my first round of Cayston, and have not done since.

@Caitlin - I get mine from CF Services; they send a new altera neb & head with each package of Cayston. I guess I'll keep the old ones - would be nice to have for when I travel...maybe I'll get enough to where I won't have to sterilize at all for a couple days, lol. No need to keep them all out...
