    vacations

The Vest is not used in SA (at least I don't know of anyone who has one in SA yet, I think it's a cost thing), so to answer your question I don't have it so always travel without it, and just do my usual routine of nebbing and ensuring I cough up a lot. I always take my nebulizer. As long as you...

    Now what?

2 thoughts came to mind , these have been the causes of strange side ache for me: 1) inflammation of the pleural tissue (I think that's what it is called)that surrounds the lung outside, can be quite painful and is aggravated by breathing because of the mechanical movement pressing against it...

    Low Blood Sugar

Agree with everyone else, just a suggestion: anyone who gets low blood sugar should get their own glucose meter and test a few different meals at home using shorter intervals after eating (20 mins, 40 mins, 60 mins etc) to see how different food affects them. The typical glucose tolerance test...

    Career Decisions

I am/was a school art teacher - we have lots of teachers in our family too, so I thought I knew what it was all about. I taught for 7 years, and gave up because of my health (and btw my fev 1 is reasonably good, around 60-70%). In the beginning it was part time, and that worked ok and I enjoyed...
