I have to agree with Emily on the "luck" to some degree as she said. My brother who is 2 years older than me also has CF. For the past two years he has yet to do any type of treatment or antibiotics other than taking enzymes. His PFTS are in the 90's. I on the other hand have always been...
I believe that my FEV 1 was in the 60's but dropped dramatically after I applied. I had no problems getting it but I know that that is not that case with everyone. I think that the Drs have a great deal of pull with this. My doc is very much for it and I am sure that it helped tremendously...

My docs want a bone scan done every 2 years. I hadn't had one for nearly 4 years and at that time everything was normal. I recently had one adn there was a slight decrease but nothing to be too concerned about. I am on 500mg of calcium 2x a day to help though. If on prednison it can decrease...

I use the therapep in line with Alubuterol. After doing ten breaths I stop and do what is called active cyclo breathing with 2 huff coughs at the end. I do 4 cycles of this. This has worked better than any other method including the vest for me. I was taught the breathing when I was about 17...

I have to say that I absolutely agree with you Sean DAvis. Thanks LOULOU and Sean for telling me about the water soluble one. Must have missed that. I am certainly one that does think that herbal methods are fantastic and can be great. I think that there is risk with whatever you take into...

I have to say my opinion was much like Maggies at her age and then my health started to fail me and I nearly died. Then I thought to myself, hmm... lets weigh this out die or get a cure and live a wonderful life with my family.
As for what I would do if I found a cure tomorrow. I would get...

I talked to my doc yesterday and She very much discouraged me from doing OO for a few reasons.
1- You don't know what if any impurities are in it.
2- You don't know the exact amount you are getting.
3- This was the biggest point and the clincher for me. Oil does not leave your lungs...

Kelly,
My first question to you would be does this company offer insurance? I have pretty good coverage. Yes it is full coverage through my husband's company. It was even better before they just recently switched providers but I won't complain. My new insurance is through United Health...
