I am grateful to have found the love of my life at such a young age and to be able to bring a beautiful daughter into the world. I am grateful that my CF has taught me diligence, patience, and above all has strengthened my relationship with my Heavenly Father. I feel that yes I had to grow up...
Hey Sonia after reading that you live in Vegas it just occurred to me that if you did the test in Utah then you most likely won't need it while in Vegas. When I go to Vegas I am fine without oxygen due to the change in altitude. It is a huge difference. If you didn't do the test in Utah then...
I like both Drs. Dr. Liou I think is crazy but really what doctor isn't to some degree. I feel that he can be really negative at times and I do not like being around negative people, but then every now and then he surprises me. Dr. Carveth is more on the positive side still being realistic...
Well Allie you already know my opinion on this. I think you absolutley should. It may even end up being theraputic in a way. I think that it would definitely get published and you know everyone on here would read it so that is a good baseline<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"...
I will have to check for the fever. I never really paid attention. For me the red spots usually come first and then I know something is going to happen and within hours I start to ache. It does make it harder to breath, like someone is pushing on my chest. My docs really haven't looked into...
Sonia,
I go to the U of U too. Which doc do you prefer? Carveth or Liou? Are you the same Sonia that is discouraged about wearing oxygen while exercising. If so I know that being in Utah and the altitude is a big part of it. Carveth actually just started me on the pulmicort as well adn I...
Julie,
That is amazing. How did you get three if you only transferred two? Did the second split and that is why they are identical? This is amazing. You are in for one heck of a ride. Have fun and don't stress. Congratulations!

No, I do not go to a regular gym. I walk on a treadmill at my parents and I can totally identify with your hesitancy and feeling the way you do about oxygen. I always said well if I ever have to go on oxygen I guess I must be nearing the end, but I found that that is not true. I was on oxygen...
I too have not found anything too help the pain. My first occurance was when I was in Kindergarten. I remember crawling up the stairs because it hurt too bad to walk and my mom had to feed me. I then didn't have an episode until I was a Junior in High School. Like Dea I have seen it getting...
Sonia,
I can't completely relate to you. Wearing oxygen is not fun and for me I feel as if though I am branded as oh that girl is sick. Anyway, I have mostly gotten over that. I don't wear it during the day at all and only while I exercise and sleep. I think it would be a disservice to...
OH MY WORD!!!! Thank you Thank you! I have this and it is horrible. No one else that I have ever talked to knows what I am talking about with the red spots that I get accompanied with the severe pain that I can barely walk. My doctors just tell me that it is CF related arthritis but even...
You may just be able to take your concentrator. I know that my Praxair company has a big case for traveling to put it in. Call the airlines and talk to them about it. Oxygen has now been approved on some airlines to take on planes.

Yes there is a huge thread in the family section. That is actually what brought me to this site. I do take Ambrotose which is a glyconutrient and I have found amazing things. I was on oxygen up until I started taking it and have basically been off ever sine. I do still need O2 at night and...
I stayed on all my meds. I was in the hospital on IVs twice and the only real thing that I usually use that couldn't now was Tobramyacin through IV due to it causing hearing loss in fetus'. I was on Advair, Albuterol, Pulmozyme, Nexium, Enzymes continuously. At the end I had to take a lot of...
Our church sings 3 hymns every sacrament meeting and in our other classes we sings hymns as well. My favorite hymn is this: I Stand All Amazed
I stand all amazed at the love Jesus offers me, Confused at the grace that so fully he proffers me I tremble to know that for me He was crucified that...
Okay, so I know that I keep asking about how to do something with pictures. Just call me completely disabled when it comes to picture posting. So here is my question. I posted pictures in my blog, but I am wondering how to make them bigger? Anyone know? Lauren was asking me to make them...
