I'm very sorry that you have these concerns; I know that this is an incredibly difficult time for you.
How do you begin dealing with this - Breathe; read about CF, but know when to stop. Maybe focus for now just on reading about treatments for whatever symptoms are showing up.

np2 - I am SO glad to hear it! I thought about you guys all day today.
I know it was hard, but I believe it was the right thing to do. Now you can take a break from your worries; what a huge relief this must be for you!
Take care,
Dana

I'll hijack briefly to answer blopunky's mom about long term effects of Prevacid. I am told by a nutrionist that proton pump inhibitors can eventually cause a permanent lack of the proper 'good' digestive acid in the stomach.
But I think the benefits for us right now far outweigh the potential...

Jennifer - thanks for the info; I didn't realize the Jeanne/Sarah connection!
I have come to rely so much on this site and I'm so grateful for it. It has really helped me work through our diagnosis.
Everyone has said it so eloquently already, so I will just add my own personal 'thank you'...

You can find some slight differences on this, but generally the reference range for AST is 5 - 40 and for ALT it is 7 - 56.
I have done a little research on this because Katy's AST was slightly high; most of what I've read puts more emphasis on scans, ultrasounds, etc. - the physical appearance...
