As an anonymous-American, I find many of these comments deeply disturbing. Do you have any idea what it's like to live in this country without a moniker of any kind? Do you care? I suspect you're a bunch of name-ists!

Please note that the last four anonymous entries have come from the same post # and all four joined on exactly the same day. So, of course it's all the same person. If "anonymous" believes that age will change Emily's view, I think you are sorely mistaken. I'm 54, which is quite a "mature" age. I own a home, hold a full time job, am married, have two kids, a dog, a cat, etc. And I love what Emily and Allie have to say. But a word of advice to Emily and Allie. I think you are wasting your time continuing the conversation with "anonymous." I think "anonymous" is having fun getting a rise out of you. You both have so many wonderful things to say and offer - please don't waste another minute on this person. Share yourselves with people who actually want to get something valuable out of the forum instead of those who are afraid to even say their name.

Poor annon has obviously been publicly spanked and put in his/her place by Miss Emily (a 22 year old...ouch) and is a little bitter. Annon you are such a big one for maturity and yet you want to call someone out without leaving your name. Chicken. Maturity has nothing to do with things or accomplishments. I am 26 and quite independant, however I don't have a husband or children,and I may never have them, am I imature as well?

Also, you can say there are no STUPID questions but if you phrase an insulting comment as a question it is STUPID. For instance ..... "are you stupid?" is technically a question, it's a rude, immature, STUPID question. I appreciate Emily's thoughts and opinions as well as her ability to communicate them in a mature manner. I don't think she is ever rude or disrespectful unless provoked, and welll you know what they say about tugging on a tigers tail.

Also, I find the idea that someone who is hiding behind annon because their opinions have been so universally unappreciated would be reccomending that anyone with an id remove themselves from the forum, rather hilarious. So if nothing else thanks for the laugh, you have been highly ammusing.

If we base immaturity on husband & kids or lack there of then my one sister who is 53 & NEVER married with NO kids will have a big surprise when I tell her & another sister who DOES have kids, but got rid of the husband & is 48 wont give a damn! I know about an even number of "mature" older folks as I do younger folks. I think when its all said & done on this topic, no one will win tho some probably will think so. Any chance we can move on now?>>>>>>>

I just read through this whole thing and its really disturbing. Although I am new here, the thing I've appreciated is that people can offer opinions or just thoughts without fear of ridicule. We need to support each other, if you don't agree with something that's said, at least respect the other person's right to a voice.
