Stats on People with CF and Carriers having Children with CF?

Yeah, we all agree that Chantel's original question has been answered. However, he question and some of the responses took the conversation in another direction. It happens. Why can't some of you accept that? Now, I have no idea why anon @ 5:43am thinks Allie "sucks" but come on is that...

Stats on People with CF and Carriers having Children with CF?

anon @ 7:06, Thanks for calling me a biggot. Maybe you should ask me about my history before you do that. You're assuming, that I am not living in poverty nor have I ever. Making that assumption would be dead wrong on your part. I have lived in poverty and my husband and I worked damn hard...

    Off-topic -- our elderly dog

I'm so sorry, Liza. This gave me a lot of comfort when my best friend Taz died, maybe you've seen it before... Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows...

Stats on People with CF and Carriers having Children with CF?

Yet again, this has gone off topic. Poverty to CF? Seems a bit of apples and oranges to me. After all, it is possible to work your way out of poverty. It is not possible to get away from CF. Let's not talk life spans. I know you can come up with people that beat the odds but the fact is...

    WOW!!!! whats going on?

I think everyone makes posts they wish they could take back and usually you don't realize it until you get a response from someone that took it the wrong way. That's the problem with the written word, it is often up to interpretation. I also think that sometimes people's opinions are taken as...

Stats on People with CF and Carriers having Children with CF?

Chantel, Back to your original question... <div class="FTQUOTE"><begin quote>Has anyone with CF conceived with a Carrier and had a child with CF?</end quote></div> I don't think I've ever seen anyone on here with that set of circumstances. Maybe some of the more seasoned veterans have though?

Stats on People with CF and Carriers having Children with CF?

I wouldn't say they are "totally" different people but I get your point. Before the recent anouncement, I do think that particular person had posted before about wanting to get pregnant and everyone stayed pretty quiet. Anyway, it's neither here nor there. I wasn't criticizing anyone, just...

    504 Plan Suggestions

I posted this in the family section too but wanted to hear from some of the adults about what they had or wished they'd had in their 504 plans. "Ok, so this year, we're finally going to put together a 504 plan for Sean. I've got some ideas of what to include from our clinic but wanted to see...

    504 Plan suggestions

Ok, so this year, we're finally going to put together a 504 plan for Sean. I've got some ideas of what to include from our clinic but wanted to see what others have included in theirs. Any ideas/suggestions would be really appreciated. Thanks.

    Tuna

The last warning/advisory I saw was the no one should be eating any kind of fish more than twice a week. Tuna, of course, is known to have high levels of Hg but other fish do as well it's just not as highly publicized. That's probably because most of us buy tuna but when it comes to other...

Update on Julie and her babies...

OMG! I can't believe I missed this! I was thinking this afternoon that I hadn't seen Julie in a day or two and was hoping everything was ok. You know I'm keeping good thoughts for you guys. The babies sound like they are doing well; all really big. My niece was only 3.5 lbs when she was...

    im sueing Fed Ex

Cariann, I know you are really frustrated right now and it would probably give you some satisfaction to take it out on FedEx but if I remember correctly wasn't it the Kinko's guy that screwed up? Those stores are independently owned so I would think that you'd have to sue the employee/store...

    Sean Davis

Thanks for coming on and clearing up all the confusion/rumors, SD. I know you don't feel like this is the place for you but by all means, if you have time, maybe you could just drop us a note; keeping us up to date on you and any new "treatments" you may have come across.

    Sean Davis

As far as we know, he's gone. Although thanks to the return of "wonderful" <sarcasm> anon posting he could be back. I believe we were told that Sean's IP address was banned, not his account. That means he could quite easily post from another IP. <a target=_blank...

    Genotropin (Growth Hormone Injections)

Renee, Sean just finished up a study in the CF clinic regarding the benefits of growth hormone on CF patients. The thought is that the more they grow, the better the lung function they'll have. There's some science as to why they believe this but I've forgotten it. The study is 18 months...

    Vest settings

Sean is on 10Hz for the first ten minutes then on 14Hz for the next ten minutes. I noticed the other day that he turned down the pressure setting to 25. I can't for the life of me remember what the respiratory therapist told originally set it at. I think it was 45-55.
