    job or career choices.

I'm currently a student in college. But I know pretty much what I'll be doing when I get out, so I wanted to reply. Heh. I'm an American Sign Language major at NU, and when I graduate I intend to interpret for the Deaf. Probably at either a hospital or school or something of the like. If my...

    My boyfriend's tough question

To the last poster... I just want to make a point. You're right that death is unpredictable and all that good garbage, but growing up with CF, you pretty much continually stare death in the face... And unless you've been there, you don't know what it's like. Even having a boyfriend with CF, you...

    Smoking

Wow, Dave... I know I have a short fuse, but if anyone continued saying stuff like that to me after I had informed them of my health... I'd literally break the guy's face against a curb. Curb job!! (American History X reference). But uhh yeah, if that guy was my "friend," he'd certainly leave my...

    Smoking

I agree with the last poster, but the point that I think Coll was making (which I do agree with as well) is that when the law was made, it created a new problem. All the people that go outside of bars and restaurants to smoke, always smoke RIGHT OUTSIDE the door of wherever they are, and all...

    ADEKs

Jarod, oh man you are the odd man out!! Ew ew!! Hahaha. And yes, A, D, E, and K are the fat soluble vitamins... but if I remember correctly from what I heard... the ADEKs are basically the fat soluble vitamins in water soluble form so CFers have an easier time absorbing them.

    question...

I've always been very open about it, personally. I grew up as a CF poster child, and so everyone has always known about me. Whenever I encounter new people, I tell them I have a genetic lung disease. And then if they ask questions, I happily answer. For an example as an uncomfortable situation...

    My brother, Kevin:(

I quite agree. Whether or not we believe what you do, we're all trying to help you concerning your brother here. Calling those of us who don't believe in god lost souls is extremely condescending, and uncalled for.

    Smoking

I so incredibly agree with this whole topic. I live in Boston during the schoolyear, and it's a far cry from my small hometown. In Cheshire, cigarette smoke is somewhat easy to avoid, whereas in Boston, it's impossible. Especially on a college campus. Walking to class I end up inhaling dozens of...

    Boiling treatment parts

I've never boiled mine. I just soak them overnight in really hot water with dish soap, and then rinse them with very hot water the next day when I'm ready to use them.

    Daycares vs staying home--

I was in daycare and nursery school and all that good stuff when I was young. Guilt or not, and as you said you know you can't keep him in a bubble, it's actually a good idea to expose him to kids with everyday colds and stuff. Helps build an immune system.
