Jarod, oh man you are the odd man out!! Ew ew!! Hahaha. And yes, A, D, E, and K are the fat soluble vitamins... but if I remember correctly from what I heard... the ADEKs are basically the fat soluble vitamins in water soluble form so CFers have an easier time absorbing them.

I so incredibly agree with this whole topic. I live in Boston during the schoolyear, and it's a far cry from my small hometown. I've never boiled mine. I just soak them overnight in really hot water with dish soap, and then rinse them with very hot water the next day when I'm ready to use them.

I was in daycare and nursery school and all that good stuff when I was young. Guilt or not, and as you said you know you can't keep him in a bubble, it's actually a good idea to expose him to kids with everyday colds and stuff. Helps build an immune system.
