I've been drinking since I was 15. Not like a drunk, but when I want to I have a drink. Either way, point being I've never had any huge problem with it and I've never felt sicker after a night out. But yes, it is harder on the liver because of our already existing liver problems.
His Bright Light ~ Danielle Steel. This is a biography she wrote about her son, Nick. He was a severe manic depressive his whole life and killed himself when he was 19.
The Bell Jar ~ Sylvia Plath. A classic, about Sylvia Plath's life of mental un-health.
Breathing For a Living ~ Laura...
lol not dumb questions. It's good to learn. As for the salt, CFers sweat 10X as much salt as healthy people, so we need to eat a lot in order to have enough in our systems (yes there is such a thing as not enough salt). lol
The fat and calories and such... the natural enzymes in CFers don't work...
During the schoolyear, I use the gym that is included in tuition price. I use the elliptical machines and usually try to do 20-30 minutes. I try to do every day, if possible. But I probably end up doing about 5-6 days a week. It helps a hell of a lot.
The body doesn't absorb A, D, E, and K because they're fat soluble vitamins. The whole point with the ADEK vitamins is that they're the fat soluble vitamins in water-soluble form, so that they're easier to absorb for CFers.
Hey if you think you can do it, power to you! I've said a million times if I still had the parts, almost no matter where my health stood, I'd have my own kids someday. Make sure you keep in close touch with your doctor, and go for it.

I loved those books. There's also some good biographies... Though older, there's Alex: The Life of a Child by Frank Deford. And Breathing For a Living (an autobiography) by Laura Rothenberg. Breathing is an absolutely favorite of mine. I've read that book cover to cover a good 5 times at least.
I assume you might be asking me some of these questions? I don't mind being known as the girl with CF. Most of the people in town treat me the same. I haven't been isolated any more based on the CF alone. I would rather people know anyway. *shrug*
An even better idea I might suggest... .though it can be more expensive... is solving a few problems with one stone. Make some brownies. Then you're not smoking, and you're eating in the process of boosting your appetite. It's healthier all around to do it that way. Plus it's a better high.
